Ormec 1911 Fault – (Axis Fault) – the machine display may also have a message Position Greater then Maximum.
Enter the Servo Diagnostics screen on your machines touchpanel and try to run the servo from there. If the servo motor you are testing fails, then look at the below tips for a resolution.
If you have a machine with an Ormec controller that has servo drives connected to them, and you are experiencing a 1911 Fault on the Ormec, here are some things to look at for resolution:
• Mechanical items
binding or an excessive load. Examples - bad bearings, carriages not level, paper dust build up in drive belts, auxiliary brake not releasing, or some physical obstruction.
• Electrical items
examples - bad servo drive, bad servo motor, bad or damaged servo feedback cables, or bad Ormec DSP card in Ormec.
• Also make sure servo drives are enabled, before given a move command.
• Note: If you swap any parts out, make sure all jumpers and device addresses are set properly.
