This upgrade provides pneumatically loaded guide between the paddle conveyor and compression area.  The pressure to the pneumatic cylinder can be adjusted for optimum performance.  A proximity switch mounted on the cylinder detects an overload and shuts down the compression before damage occurs.

The benefit of this upgrade is reduced maintenance and increased productivity due to early detection of a jam condition which in turn results in fewer damaged compression plates.
